Prompt for Friday, February 20, 2026:

Continuing with our winter theme, it’s time for our first Day in the Life (DITL) suggestion!

Make a post – ideally a short video – that shows what you are up to this weekend.

  • Winter is historically a “slow season” on the farm…or is it? Meetings, conferences, bookwork, maintenance, and other daily tasks still go on even if there isn’t any visible fieldwork taking place. What’s a typical day look like for you in February?
  • Do you have livestock? The work never stops! Winter just adds another layer of day-to-day tasks. Start your DITL video with a shot of you layering up for the elements.
  • Working through equipment maintenance? Book work? Taxes? Jump on camera from your office or sitting next to a tractor surrounded by tools and explain what some of the behind-the-scenes work looks like as you prepare for the busy spring season. Don’t forget a shot of your desk – are you organized or messy? Have a real desk or take over the dining room table?

DITL posts are best shared as a video – be sure to shoot vertically (phone upright) for the best format for a short video (Instagram/Facebook reel, TikTok, or YouTube short).

  • Tip: Aim for a 60-90 second video with caption for best performance.

If you end up using this week’s prompt, we’d love to see it! Drop a direct link to your post or video in the comments.
