Getting started on social media and not sure where to begin? Or have an established account and feel like you’ve run out of things to say?
You’re in luck! We have a giant list of ideas that we plan to dole out week-by-week to inspire you as you create content to share in your social media feeds. Use these ideas as-is or as thought-starters to make it work for you.

Prompt for Friday, March 20, 2026:
Mark your calendar! National Ag Day is this Tuesday, March 24, 2026, celebrating 250 years of progress in agriculture.
National Ag Day is a great way to celebrate the agriculture industry and people involved. Plan your #AgDay26 content and record video/take photos during this weekend’s beautiful spring weather, then share your post on Tuesday using the #AgDay26 hashtag.
Thought starters for your National Ag Day post (use one, two, or all!):
- Give a shout-out to someone in the agriculture industry who inspires you. It could be a mentor or another farmer, past or present.
- Talk about what brought you to a career or life involved in agriculture. Were you raised on a farm? Did you study agriculture?
- What do you love about agriculture and/or farm life?
- This year’s National Ag Day theme gives a nod toward the United States’ 250th Independence Day celebration later this year. What’s the history of your farm or history of agriculture in your area? How are things on your farm different today than 20, 50, 100 years ago? Is your town known for a cool agricultural invention?
- How can people support agriculture in your area? Perhaps it’s a list of farms who sell their product via direct retail or simply supporting youth involved in agriculture through a local FFA chapter or 4-H club.
Visuals are ideal for a post like this. Consider creating:
- A series of photos with context written in the caption
- A video (be sure to include yourself!)
- A carousel of photos with a text overlay on the photos
