Prompt for Friday, March 27, 2026:

Whether you’re in a rural or urban setting, it’s hard to not get excited about spending more time outside as the earth begins to green up. The temperatures may have crashed overnight, but we’ve had several wonderful tastes of spring over the last few weeks in Illinois. As an added bonus, many students and families were on spring break and able to take advantage of the warmer weather.

As the #SpringBreak wrap up posts start to roll in, consider joining the conversation:

  • What does (did) spring break look like on the farm for your family? Even though there may be chores to be done, what are some of the fun things to do around the farm or locally during downtime?
  • What are some of the first signs of spring on your farm? Compile a carousel of photos and video clips or put together a short video featuring the sights and sounds of spring on your farm.

Visuals are ideal for a post like this. Consider creating:

  • A series of photos with context written in the caption
  • A video (be sure to include yourself!)
  • A carousel of photos with a text overlay on the photos

If you end up using this week’s prompt, we’d love to see it! Drop a direct link to your post or video in the comments.
