Social Media Weekend Prompt: 2-6-26

Getting started on social media and not sure where to begin? Or have an established account and feel like you’ve run out of things to say?

You’re in luck! We have a giant list of ideas that we plan to dole out week-by-week to inspire you as you create content to share in your social media feeds. Use these ideas as-is or as thought-starters to make it work for you.

Prompt for Friday, February 6, 2026:

Start off on the right foot (if you’re a new account) or go back to the basics (if you’re an established account) by introducing yourself and your farm.

  • Share names and location. This can be as general or as specific as you wish, from sharing only first name or sharing your first and last name or sharing only the region of the state or a specific town you live/farm in.
  • Introduce everyone who might make a cameo in any of your future content (family members, employees, pets, etc.).
  • Take a walking tour of the farm and point out the important locations you may feature in future content (sheds, barns, fields, pastures, etc.).
  • Talk about what your audience can expect from you if they follow your account (Do you talk a lot about cows? Are you a parent? Do you enjoy cooking and hope to share recipes?).

Treat this as a formal introduction and welcome your audience into your world! This could be:

  • A video
  • A carousel of photos with a text overlay on the photos
  • A series of photos with context written in the caption

Be sure to include at least one shot of yourself so your audience can put a face to a name.

If you end up using this week’s prompt, we’d love to see it! Drop a direct link to your post or video in the comments.
